I cooked this magnificent roast on my pellet smoker on a day cold enough that I had to use insulation over the smoker. In spite of mother nature's efforts to torpedo my cook, I was able to cook to an internal temperature ranging from 125 to 130 degrees. The roast was absolutely awesome - tender and flavorful. This is not the first roast I have purchased from Valor Provisions, and it will not be the last. You guys rock!

The flavor keeps me coming back. Please read the reviews providing constructive feedback about the vacuum sealing of this sliced peppered beef is inadequate for long term freezer storage. I use a chamber vacuum sealer and use 3 mil. bags and very rarely have vacuum leaks.

I love the wagyu shaved peppered beef, especially for a cold cut roast beef sandwich. I bought 20 last time and stocked up because of the great price.

For Thanksgiving, I'm doing a pork belly in a cast iron Dutch Oven - for me and the pups !!!

I think anyone familiar with rump roast/eye of round knows it is usually a very tough, chewy slab of meat. Not so with the Valor Provisions version.

I slow cooked their roast with an assortment of veggies and some wagyu tallow and a bit of beef broth. The roast spent 4 hours at 170F, 1.5 hours at 200, and then I finished it off at 375 for about 30 to 45 minutes until the center got close to temp them rested it for about 10 to 15 minutes.

When we cut into the roast, it was ridiculously juicy. Think YouTube food video juicy.

While a couple of pieces were still a little chewy, the roast over all was very tender, super flavorful. And it reheated well in a stir-fry the next day.

So far Valor provisions has yet to let me down. Absolutely quality meat. I will continue to order whenever my grocery budget allows. The splurge is totally worth it!

I've always heard that Chuck Eye steaks were the butchers cut because it was near the ribeye but at half the cost. This is my new favorite cut for the money! Wagyu Chuck Eye Steaks for the win! Will be buying these from Valor Provisions every month.
