Wagyu Rump Roast

I think anyone familiar with rump roast/eye of round knows it is usually a very tough, chewy slab of meat. Not so with the Valor Provisions version.

I slow cooked their roast with an assortment of veggies and some wagyu tallow and a bit of beef broth. The roast spent 4 hours at 170F, 1.5 hours at 200, and then I finished it off at 375 for about 30 to 45 minutes until the center got close to temp them rested it for about 10 to 15 minutes.

When we cut into the roast, it was ridiculously juicy. Think YouTube food video juicy.

While a couple of pieces were still a little chewy, the roast over all was very tender, super flavorful. And it reheated well in a stir-fry the next day.

So far Valor provisions has yet to let me down. Absolutely quality meat. I will continue to order whenever my grocery budget allows. The splurge is totally worth it!

Fabulous! worked great in the crockpot for the Mississippi roast recipe. also made great sandwiches next day. we will buy again.

I really think a different name should be given to this delicious piece of meat.

Great quality..this was a big hit at the dinner table. Slow roasted to perfection with a wonderful rich beefy flavor. Really good deal on this one too.

Purchased an eye of round roast for the first time. I turned this cut into the best tasting roast beef I have ever had. Definitely doing that again!! I would highly recommend trying this if you are a roast beef fan you won’t be disappointed.
